HARARE - South Africa has emerged as Zimbabwe’s biggest trading partner for the first quarter of 2014.
According to latest figures from ZimStat, Zimbabwe imported goods and services worth US$625.6m from South Africa.
This is 43.2% of the country’s total import bill of $1.4bn for the three months under review.
Singapore came second with imports amounting to $219m.
UK came third with imports amounting to $109m, while China was fourth with imports amounting to $80.3m.
SA is also Zimbabwe’s largest export market, the the country exporting goods and services worth $360m out of overall exports of $626m.
