Warning against fake traffic jobs

Polokwane - Job seekers have been warned against a bogus circular advertising traffic posts in Limpopo.

Spokesperson for the provincial department of transport, safety, security and liaison Lediga Mafenya said faceless people are masquerading as departmental human resource personnel and using the department's letterhead to advertise the non-existent posts.

"We want to inform the public that the circular...was not released by our department and we distance ourselves from it,” said Lediga.

He said the department is currently training 250 students who will graduate as traffic personnel in March 2015.

“The process of recruiting the other group will follow later as for now there are no vacancies for traffic learnerships in our department. Our departmental anti-fraud unit is currently investigating this matter,” he added.

Anyone with information about the bogus circular is asked to come forward.
