Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma has appointed Kuben Naidoo as a deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) for a period of five years with effect from April 1 2015.
The position became vacant when its former incumbent, Lesetja Kganyago, was appointed as Reserve Bank governor with effect from November 9 2014. Sarb has three deputy governors, who are appointed by the president.
Naidoo is currently serving as an adviser to the governor of the Reserve Bank, and is also a member of the monetary policy committee.
