Cape Town - A video of a dog passing out from joy has rocketed up the charts to become one of the most popular online videos.
The video, posted on Friday shows the dog squealing with delight when a family member returns.
YouTube user Rebecca Ehalt who posted the video, says that Casey, a schnauzer, was overjoyed when a family member returned from working in Slovenia.
The video has had over 22 million views and has generated some debate among commenters on the merits of cats or dogs as pets.
According to Animal Planet, the most popular small pet for children (besides cats and dogs, it is assumed) is the hermit crab, followed by chinchilla, and the box turtle in third place.
