Paris - Uber Technologies said it will suspend its French application from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday in protest against recent government decisions.
Drivers will join a demonstration at Place de la Nation in Paris, Uber said in an e-mailed statement.
A Paris civil court on January 27 ordered Uber to pay compensation to a French taxi-drivers union in a dispute about whether chauffeur services can roam the streets as they wait for their next customer, or if they must return to a fixed place.
Uber will appeal the decision.
