Altron hikes dividend and eyes 'transformative' acquisitions as Netstar books record growth

Having improved its balance sheet with much-improved cash flow, technology group Altron is considering some transformative acquisitions that will help both diversify its business and position it for growth.

This is still in the initial stages, but the group is considering a transformation of its structure and operations in regions it knows well, including southeast Asia or Australia, CEO Werner Kapp told News24 on Monday.

ICT group Altron, the owner of vehicle tracker Netstar, reported on Monday that Netstar achieved "industry-leading" subscriber growth of 26% in its six months to end-August, growing subscribers to over 1.5 million and achieving revenue of over R1 billion for the first time.
