Prosus has no regrets in losing out on bids for online food delivery company Just Eat and eBay classifieds over the past year.
The internet group, owned by Naspers, on Tuesday held its first annual general meeting since listing on the Johannesburg and Amsterdam stock exchanges last year. Naspers owns about 74% of Prosus.
Speaking from a studio in London, chairperson Koos Bekker noted how the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the group holding the AGM unconventionally, online. Shareholders voted in favour of all 12 agenda items – including remuneration for directors and board appointments executives.
