DStv owner MultiChoice said on Tuesday it is eyeing the launch of its revamped Showmax 2.0 streaming service by the end of March 2024. It is looking to massively scale up its reach across Africa after teaming up with US media giant Comcast, the owner of NBCUniversal and Sky.

"We have a trusted brand and solid brand equity that is part of many, many decades of operating in our markets," Mawela said during a capital markets day presentation. "We have scale, distribution and insights that set us apart and provide us with a competitive advantage.
