REVEALED | Heads of travel firm, financial services group behind bid to buy Mango

The founder of a travel company and the CEO of a financial services group are behind the bid to take state-owned airline Mango private.

For the past 18 months or so, Mango's business rescue practitioner (BRP) has tried to keep the name of the bidder secret. The low-cost airline's liabilities amount to R3 billion, while it only has around R100 million in assets. 

Now, the company that put in an offer to take Mango off the government's hands has been confirmed in court documents.
