The South African government wants the country to reach the top 10 on the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index – which will have to require a massive, almost miracle-like vault from its current position of 84 out of 190 countries.

The World Bank established the index in 2002 to as a means to quantifying, unpacking and monitoring the barriers to business and investment in each of country.
