Government is confident that its planned reforms will see South Africa rise as high as the top 10 on the World Bank's global index in coming years.
The South African government wants the country to reach the top 10 on the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index – which will have to require a massive, almost miracle-like vault from its current position of 84 out of 190 countries.
The World Bank established the index in 2002 to as a means to quantifying, unpacking and monitoring the barriers to business and investment in each of country.
