"Izikhalazo ngama-ATM zikhule zaba ku-1800, zisuka ku-1100, wonyaka owedlule," kusho u-Ombudsman Clive Pillay, ethula izibalo zakhe eGoli.
Izinkinga kukholakala ukuthi zibe ngumthelela wokuqiniswa kwezokuphepha eziqhutshwa ngamabhange, ngenhloso yokugwema ubugebengu.
“Izigilamkhuba zibuyele endleleni yakudala yokwenza ubugebengu. Zisula izinombolo zamahhala ezibhalwa emishinini, ngenhloso yokwenza kube nzima kumakhasimende ukuthi axhumane namabhange ngokushesha,” kusho uPillay.
Ngonyaka ka-2013, ihhovisi laphenya ngezehlakalo ezingu-4950, ezisukela ekubhenkeni kusetshenziswa amaselula, ama-credit cards, ama-ATM kanjalo nemishwalense yezimoto.
Kwatholakala ukuthi kumabantu abaningi abadonselwa izimali zabo ngaphandle kokugunyaza ukudonswa kwazo.
