A 53 year old woman has been apprehended for allegedly being in possesion of illicit drugs (bhang) in Kitui.
The acting police boss Wekesa Mukwane, speaking to the media said that Nduku(53) was arrested when ferrying the drugs to her customers on Monday Morning.
"We arrested her at around 6.00 am with the drugs hidden among other agricultural products to blind the police," Mukwane said.
He further noted that they were acting on a tip off from the public for she has been in the illegal business for quiet a long. According to Mr Mukwane, when interrogated, the suspects admitted to have in their possession the illicit drugs; saying the suspect will be arraigned in court as soon as possible when the preliminary investigation of the case is over.
