Nairobi – Investigators from US Federal Bureau of
Investigations and local police probing the Moi Avenue blast that
partially ripped off the roof of the Assanands Building and wounded 38
people are now convinced it was caused by a fertilizer bomb.
Sources at the CID who are involved in the investigation have told
Capital FM News that the initial analysis of the debris and other
material at the site has shown traces of ammonium nitrate, which is
known to make explosives.
“There are traces of fertilizer at the site of the blast, there is also the smell of fuel,” a senior CID officer said adding.
