South African milliner Lyndon Miller Pegs' collaboration last year with South African luxury brand Okapi created custom one-off pieces exclusively for the prestigious L'Ormarins Kings Plate and presented guests with an opportunity to channel a historical traditional and an occasion to wear a hat in a fresh and locally relevant way. Pegs chats to us about how he found his craft and his plans for this year's event.

Fashioned in Johannesburg and seen around the world, Lyndon Miller Pegs' creations come from a lifelong immersion in the arts.

Having started out studying dance as a child, he moved onto performing arts, and it was in his second year at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, while injured for six months, that he discovered his talent for the production side of things - as wardrobe master.
