Shakira is opening up like never before following her split from former footballer Gerard Piqué.

The couple announced they were ending things last year, and though it appeared to be an amicable split at first, rumours of Piqué being unfaithful with Clara Chia soon emerged. The pair have since gone public with their relationship.

Now, in a new song, TGQ, off Karol G's new album, the Colombian hitmaker sings, per a translation by Billboard: "Seeing you with the new girl hurt me, but I'm now set on me."

"And what your girlfriend [threw] at me, that doesn't anger me, it makes me laugh."

The track comes after online sleuths theorised how Shakira found out about Piqué's alleged infidelity – and it involved a jam jar! More on that here.

Meanwhile, Shakira took to social media sharing a chaotic video. Mop in hand, she had a laugh as she cleaned the... carpet... lip-synching to SZA's Kill Bill: "I might kill my ex, not the best idea."
