- MultiChoice is introducing an all-new channel with a programming offering delivered in Sesotho and English.
- With a particular focus on the richness and diversity of the Free State province, the channel goes live on Thursday, 16 November.
- One Freestate TV will be available across DStv's Premium, Compact+, Compact, Family, Access and EasyView packages.
A week after its newest children's channel Play Room (DStv 300) went live, MultiChoice has announced that viewers can again look forward to another new offering.
From 10:00 on Thursday, 16 November, viewers can tune into community channel One Freestate TV across its Premium, Compact+, Compact, Family, Access and EasyView packages.
With a programming offering delivered in Sesotho and English, viewers can look forward to a dedicated showcase of the richness and diversity of the Free State with a focus on local culture, innovation and community engagement.
"We are excited to have One Freestate TV added to our platform, expanding our local representation in the form of content from our regions within the country and delivered in local languages," MultiChoice Group's general entertainment channel boss Georginah Machiridza said.
"The addition of another community TV station helps to ensure that we also play a part in actively disseminating information at a local scale that resonates with our audiences."
Viewers can look forward to a lifestyle show with Ntetekazi Nyezi, a weeknight news bulletin, a weekly sports show with Lebohang Pharoe on Saturdays, a weekly reality show following the lives of fine little people on Sundays, and a weekly podcast with Malefa Raphuthi with a special guest on Sundays.
