- Opel says it has sold more than 14.5 million Corsas since 1982.

- Opel claims that the current Corsa was the most popular small car in Germany and the best-selling car in the UK in 2021.
German automaker Opel has launched a limited edition Corsa 40 and Corsa e-40 to mark its milestone of two decades in the car manufacturing business earlier this year when it celebrated this milestone in May.
Opel has only manufactured 1 982 Corsa 40 cars but only 1 981 would be available for customers.
On the 40th milestone, the company said:
The company said the Kadett was conceived and designed to bring mobility to more people at a time when driving a car was still real luxury.

"Then over the decades customers quickly became more discerning as their prosperity increased. The small Kadett became larger and more powerful in the second half of the 20th century, moving closer to the compact class with the arrival of each version.
"This created a slot below what had become Rüsselsheim’s classic entry-level model. So, it was high time for a new, genuine small car – time for the Corsa."
