Naming and shaming your husband’s lover… Surely we’re better than that?

Being cheated on is never easy. The shame, humiliation and hurt people feel when they find out they’ve been betrayed by a partner is vast, and feelings of rage should be expected.

But publicly outing the woman who cheated with your husband and asking other people to help you shame her? That’s just not cricket. Why aren’t you blaming the person who made the promises to you in the first time? Why are we so determined to blame the “other woman”? Why do we see our partners as poor lost boys who were coerced into an affair?

Dorothy Black talks about this in studio. Watch the whole video.
