Cape Town – Dozens of people are believed to be missing after two boats collided on the Kenyan side of Lake Victoria early on Wednesday.
At least nine people, including two children, have died, reported Kenya’s Daily Nation newspaper.
A BBC report indicated that more than 200 people were on board one of the boats. Time reported that many are feared missing.
The Kenya Red Cross tweeted that 21 people had been rescued so far.
One of the boats was said to have been ferrying fishermen from Remba to Sori Market in Migori County.
