Lome - Togo's government says it will delay presidential elections by 10 days, holding them on 25 April.
The announcement on Friday on state television came after the West African regional bloc of nations known as Ecowas recommended a delay so allow authorities could revise voter lists.
The opposition has complained that the lists are skewed in favor of the ruling party.
