Harare - State television in Zimbabwe claimed late on Tuesday that Zimbabwe's beleaguered vice president Joice Mujuru had lost her membership of the ruling party's central committee.
ZBC, which is controlled by a faction of Zanu-PF opposed to Mujuru, said that the 59-year-old vice president's curriculum vitae was "rejected" by party officials.
If confirmed, the move now makes it almost certain she will be ousted as President Robert Mugabe's deputy next week after being subjected to weeks of vilification by First Lady Grace Mugabe and state media.
She has been vice president for 10 years.
