Cape Town - DA leader Helen Zille says she "shrugs off" accusations of cultural appropriation while on the campaign trail.
Speaking to News24, Zille said she had to laugh about the accusations.
A photograph tweeted by Zille of her wearing a "doek" and stirring pots of food went viral on social media last month.
"We are one world, we are one society, and you do what is appropriate – if you go in a place where it is appropriate to cover your hair, you cover your hair."
