Bloemfontein - Voters in the Free State have matured like good wine and were ready for the upcoming national and provincial elections, local IEC officials said on Wednesday.
The Independent Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) said everything was on track for the poll on 7 May.
"People in the Free State have matured like good wine in elections," said Free State IEC head Chris Mepha.
The provincial IEC would have 13 149 people manning voting stations in 1 523 voting districts on election day.
Officials were also ready to handle the voting of prison inmates at 28 facilities in the province, Mepha told reporters in Bloemfontein.
