"It is time to pray to strengthen relations between communities and the moral fabric of our nation," she said in a speech prepared for delivery in Polokwane on Thursday.
"We appeal to everyone to join us when we pray for unity, reconciliation, and a peaceful election on 7 May."
Motshekga called on religious groups and citizens to join her on Saturday in a national prayer for social cohesion at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen.
She said the ANCWL intended ensuring a life free from violence for all, particularly women and children.
