In 1977, RW Johnson’s released his best-selling book How Long Will South Africa Survive? This book analysed the future of the apartheid government. Now, after more than twenty years of ANC rule, he asks the same question in his latest book, How Long Will South Africa Survive? The Looming Crisis.

He joins Jennifer Sanasie in studio to discuss his latest book, and tell us about the events that he predicts will happen leading up to an IMF bailout in South Africa. Johnson tells us, "I think the politicians will be almost the last people to understand the gravity of the situation." Watch him tell us why he thinks there isn't enough political or economic talent in the government to recognise the economic crisis ahead.
