When actor Boris Kodjoe and his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, discovered their daughter had spina bifida they started the Sophie's Voice Foundation give support to others.
Boris made a recent visit to Cape Town to work with the Association for Spina Bifida And Hydrocephalus (ASBAH) and the Western Cape Department of Health.
We spoke to the actor and father about his ten-year-old daughter Sophie who was born with spina bifida. Watch.

The Sophie's Voice Foundation gives this information of spina bifida:
Spina bifida is a neural tube defect. More specifically, it's a developmental congenital disorder and is caused when the neural tube doesn't completely close within the first 10 weeks of conception. This can cause leg, bladder and bowel damage in babies before they are even born.
