Today is the United Nations Day for Social Justice; the theme this year is ending human trafficking and forced labour. Jennifer Sanasie is joined via Skype by Doctor Monique Emser.
Dr Emser says the number of cases in South Africa is hard to quantify. Between 2011 and the end 2014 South Africans authorities detected and assisted just over 700 victims of human trafficking.
