Cape Town firefighters continue to battle a fire that has spread across the south peninsula.
Ou Kaapse Weg was re-opened to motorists after a veld fire broke in the area.
News24 Live sent up our drone in the area to give you this incredible perspective of the extent of the fire damage where nearly 3,000 hectares of vegetation have been destroyed.

Official written comment from SACAA’s Communications Manager, Kabelo Ledwaba has asked that drone pilots "err on the side of caution” when flying their drone.
News24 filmed in areas that were not currently experiencing fire so as not to interfere with the ongoing firefighting efforts.
Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Act, 2009 (Act No. 13 of 2009) has been proposed, however it has not been implemented or passed.
There currently is no ruling against the use of drones in South Africa.
