Malema delivered a long and colourful "thank you" speech outside the court. He was quick to point out that he could not wait to be back in Parliament on Thursday.
"I want to thank everyone who stood by me and believed in my innocence," Malema said.
"The judge said I am free," he told reporters.
"I want to thank my family, my grandmother in particular who stood by me who always emphasised I am innocent," Malema said, adding that her words were valuable.
"I knew coming from her it is genuine, it is true."
Thank u South Africa and the rest of the African continent,we are not oblivious of challenges ahead but we shall overcome. #Asijiki
