A Lion Gate security guard who unknowingly tried to help house robbers after they were involved in a car accident, was himself a victim of crime when they shot at him and hijacked his official vehicle in Bedfordview. Watch.
News24 spoke to Lionsgate operations manager Sam Draper after the incident.
“We are public servants. This is the job we chose to do. I’m definitely not going stop working,” he told News24.
He might be a “little more aware” of those he tried to help, he added with a laugh.
