accreditation

The EFF's lawyer Wim Trengrove has told the Constitutional Court that President Jacob Zuma ignored the Public Protector's findings that he pay back a portion of the money spent on security upgrades to his Nkandla home.

The EFF, DA, and the Public Protector, want the court to clarify the nature and extent of the chapter nine institution’s powers to take remedial action.

Previously, parties involved in the Constitutional Court matter did not reached a settlement.

The court had given them until 16:00 on Friday to respond to a settlement proposed by Zuma.

The EFF wans the Constitutional Court to find that Zuma failed to implement the directions in breach of his oath of office and his constitutional duties.
