The French Interior Ministry has released aerial footage showing debris scattered across a swath of the French Alps where the Germanwings Airbus A320 crashed on March 24.
The plane was carrying 150 passengers and six crew members when it crashed near the French town of Seynes-les-Alpes after an unexplained eight-minute descent.
Cockpit recordings recovered from the crash site indicated one of the seats was pushed back and the door opened and closed.
No distress signal was sent from the Airbus A320 and the crew failed to respond to ground control's desperate attempts to make contact.
French authorities also released photos showing the damaged cockpit voice recorders (CVR), or ‘black boxes’, that were situated aboard the aircraft.
