10 things that annoyed SA in 2014

The list below contains issues, people and everything in between that annoyed the life out of South Africans in the year 2014. Well, don’t kill me; I am just a messenger just kill the senders of the message which is pretty much everyone in South Africa. The list has people and events that would make a good pastor go”voetsek” in front of his congregation.

1.       Generations the Legacy
Well this is quite obvious, I mean Mr. Vundla had it all wrong this time around because even people with no cable TV namely DSTV, Top TV and ETV openView HD are not watching this Generations. You know you have a bad show if viewers with no cable TV are not interested in your show. Social media was crazily annoyed the night this show was first aired, people criticizing everything from the sound track of this soapie to the cleaning ladies behind the scene that we don’t even see. They just hate everything about it, well for this reason this show needs to be left in 2014. Housewives are not so friendly these days because of this boring prime time show, please SABC1 do it for us and just cut it lose.

2.       President Jacob Zuma
After the Nkandla reports the way our president handled and apportioned the whole saga, people rapidly became disgusted by the president. Never in the history of democratic South Africa have both black people and white people been mutually so annoyed by the president like we are with honorable president Zuma. Even hardcore Amazulu taxi drivers are as disgusted; this has never been the case before with this tribe. Amazulu have each other’s back all the time but this time president Zuma seems to be on his own. If not this, he mistakenly said sex in parliament several times last year, was it really a mistake or he was just day dreaming it? Well we all do but just out loud or not in parliament nogal.

3.       Kaizer Chiefs
I am the writer of this article therefore I hold “the Veto” rights to nominate this team all by myself. I am a big fan of Orlando Pirates and like any loyal Bucs fan this Kaizer Chiefs is really getting on my nerves therefore it needs to be positioned 3rd on the things that should be left in 2014. I have had up to here with this team, yes I do hate their lack of losing games and I am proud hater.

4.       Oscar Pistorius
Oscar should probably never attempt to compete as an athlete because South African are indeed flabbergasted by his short sentence after being found guilty of culpable homicide. Many South Africans feel like he should have been charged with murder but that was not the case. Even the name “Oscar” deserves to be left in 2014. House wives , pregnant women and single moms, if you don’t want nurses to be rude to you at your local clinic, I advise you don’t name your baby boy”Oscar”. Take my word for it people; women moreover are disgusted by this whole Oscar yarn.

5.
Twerking at funerals
Ladies there are certain places where you need not to show your inner and your outer bitchiness and a funeral is certain one of them. On Talk Radio 702, South Africans were so disgusted by this but I know some of those disgusted South Africans had that twerking video on repeat.

6.
South African celebrities who are trolls on social media.
Ntsiki Mazwai, Casper Nyovest, minister Fikile Mbalula, AKA and Steve Hofmeyr, Julias Malema and DJ Sbu please leave your troll tendencies in 2014 or be left in 2014 yourselves. You have bored the living out of South Africans over absurd issues. The sad part about this whole thing is you start these absurdity acts on Twitter, now our parents love gossip and they will want to join Twitter and start to follow us. We had to leave FaceBook because of them and now you bringing them to Twitter too? Ahhhh come-on give us a break.

7.
Minister of housing, Lindiwe Sisulu.
Minister of housing Ms. Sisulu announced there won’t be any free RDP houses for anyone below 40 years old. This disgusted and annoyed a lot of us including me, this suggests that people below 40 have no financial problems or there are no poor people who are below 40 years old in this country.

8.
The uneducated SABC bosses.
Mr. Hlaudi Motsoeneng and Ms. Ellen Tshabalala both apparently have no tertiary qualifications yet they were appointed to run a big organisation like the public broadcaster. This disgusted a lot of South Africans, which is ironic if you ask me. I mean you South Africans appointed uneducated president Zuma to run a country and now you mad at him for appointing uneducated bosses to run the SABC?. No, don’t do that South Africa. You are confusing me here!!!

9.
E-toll
This is probably another reason why South Africans don’t want to deal with president Zuma in 2015, he allowed E-toll and then insulted South Africans by saying they should not think like Africans (lol). This tolling system is insanely expensive and motorists apparently cannot afford to spend this much on transportation from and to work. Even us with no cars hate this, I don’t know why but we just do okay?

10.
The drama free parliament
Listen we love that you “honorable members” fight like you do, yes please do not stop. Since Generation Legacy is boring us, we have found an alternative that tersely replaces the boredom shown by SABC1 at 8pm. The controversial EFF and ANC with madam speaker in the forefront is what make our day these days.

Happy New Year good people, let love and safety embrace you all for the remaining of the 2014, 2015 is going to be a great year to all of us. Let love win by spreading it, love you all. M.Vangile
