A Sandwich Society...South African story

The South African Civil Society resembles a “sandwich pack”, where you still experience Race differentiation, especially when it comes to our views. I have noticed that in response to the Articles posted on News24.com. There is still a big divide that endures between Black and White, some responses without even looking at the name of the person you can quickly pick up if it is a Black or White person. I think Racial and Social background does play a part in how we perceive the World around us, and that permeates to our views on different topics that circulate the Media.

Some topics I have tackled regarding Political and Social issues, I can anticipate the response without even looking at the number of views. Black and White people in this Country see the world from different angles and that dictates their response to numerous issues not to mention the critics in our society.

The reason I believe our Society resembles a Sandwich, you find Black People on the other side and Whites on the other and there are those in the middle who fall on either side when it comes to opinions. I contemplate the day that this Country will have a Society that will have either of the two sides, but One Nation where we all can stand as One United Community. Maybe it won’t happen now in this Generation, probably the next generation will actually enjoy the fruits of our Democracy. Because at the present moment most of us have issues engraved in our system and it is not going to be easy since most of us have fundamental beliefs that are hard to discard. It took the Israelites 40 long years to reach the Promised Land and there was a reason God allowed that to happen, and South Africa has only been enjoying Liberal Democracy for only 20years.

I anticipate that day we shall all sing in one voice, ONE NATION ONE UNITED SOUTH AFRICA, ONE AFRICA!!!
