A holiday rip-off

After attending a presentation with VACATION HUB INTERNATIONAL on 18/2/2015 @ 22:33 I purchased a membership from them valued at R5649-00, which were supposed to be a good deal.  They assured me that I can go think about it and cancel within 14 days if I decide not to continue with the membership anymore for whatever reason.  I just need to notify them and all will be cancelled, for if we don’t sign up today we won’t receive the same “special” tomorrow.  That then persuaded me to sign.

The next day myself & my hubby discussed the matter and we carefully read everything on the documents.  We realised that we really won’t be able to afford this and on the 18^th I tried to contact VHI on the following numbers which appears on their documents, after we found we only had a 5 day cooling-off period – therefore I immediately took action so I phoned & mailed the cancellation through…….

·         0614479274 – this number only has voicemail, but leaving a voicemail is of absolute no use for they NEVER return your call - especially if it's re a cancellation;

·         0218518550 does not exist any longer, and so does the fax no 0865130504 not exist either;

·         0871502230 – this number does exist but either the reception or Nicole answers who cannot help you at all they say…….. “As you’ll will need to speak to Elsabe for only Elsabe can assist you re cancellations” they claim, irrelevant of whatever you tell them.  I phoned them on 19/2/2015 + 20/2/2015 + 23/2/2015, but to no avail.  NO ONE RETURNS MY CALLS AT ALL!!!  Seems like they play this game until your time to cancel according to them has run out.  Then they don’t have to “refund” you.

·          A CANCELLATION email have been sent to them on 23/2/2015 & 24/2/2015 wherein I specifically cancelled my “contract” + I telephonically informed all the ladies i spoke with.

·         You’ll find other people having exactly the same problem……… seems like they take your money and are never to be heard of again.

·         It appears to be a new "scam" as the 3 reports on the Hellopeter website are very few compared to the HUGE LOAD OF OTHERS THERE ARE.  Wish i knew this before.............

·         I made notes re every telephone conversation &  after NUMEROUS CALLS I HAD TO MAKE, i eventually received a mail from Elsabe……. They seem to have chosen not to cancel my contract?  But my reply to her have not been acknowledged OR replied by at any stage.

Seems like they're so persistent to make the business successful, they're even prepared to "scam" it to success!
