A scary day

Yesterday, the 5th of August 2014, was a very bed day. Their was a earthquake in South Africa.

Here in Polokwane one of my colleagues was in the toilet when the disaster struck. The toilet broke under the man and he fell into the sharp edges of the bowl. He was bad injured and there was a lot of blood. The ambulance could not come so we took him to the hospital in the car.

In the one office the roof fell down and break the glasses and cups for our drinking water and coffee and tea.

Some people say that our forefathers are angry because Zuma is stealing from the people and eating our money. Everyone go home early to attend church service in the township.

Why did the government not warn us of this thing? A lot of people are to scared to go to work today.

Yes, Zuma is eating our money and now the people who voted for him must suffer. There are more bed things coming, better go and hide.

Majas, I understand your fear and I hate Zuma and the government as much as anybody else. The difference between our 'earthquakes' and the ones in the Ring of Fire (Pacific Island including NZ) and Japan, Indonesia etc, is that those countries lay on tectonic plates deep in the ocean, those plates move and an earthquake and tsunami is triggered. We are not on a tectonic plate, there is a very small one down in Cape Town where Koeberg is built. This tremor/earthquake has to do with all the mining in the North West and also here in Gauteng Nobody knows when such a tremor will happen, so we can't be warned. It is just a fact of nature. Your forefathers are not angry, I think they might be in a better place and are very happy and are really not bothered about people on earth anymore as they are happy. These things do not happen a lot in SA, the last one was 10 years ago. You guys don't have to be afraid, it is not something evil, it is just nature. And I am very sorry to hear about your friend that died - that is very sad. We are all safe now, there night be some smaller after shocks but that would happen in the North West where the earthquake started, 10km under the ground. So be happy today, it is going to be a great one!
