Earlier this afternoon, I heard a siren on the main road,
Someone, is in trouble......
Half an hour later , I venture onto pool deck, and I can smell
and see smoke
flowing , above my head ,against the blue sky ,heading west
The choppers and planes arrive.
What started off like this, has now, become this.
Mercifully not much of a wind,
but they, have been at it, for the last 3 and half hours, sunlight soon fading.
My amazon like property is about 600 metres away, in its path.
The brain spins from the tukatuk atuk atuk, buzz of the helicopters and two planes.
head, has pieces of sud falling off it,
thoughts go to the children and all victims of the Vietnam saga
It feels like that, totally.
All under control, the brave people out there, doing it !
Amazing effort.
Unlike the kids from Vietnam, I'm only on sauvignon blanc.
