Call for corruption register

A humble call is hereby made for our government to their seriousness in fighting corruption in SA.

In particularly, we call on the Justice minister to implement a Corruption Register detailing and shaming those who have been convicted and found guilty of such crime.I believe it will serve as a great deterrent to the many servants who stick their fingers in the cookie jar, and disregard the public funds management act (Pfma).

It will also go a long way and act as a corruption busting tool and curb the prevalent scourge of this cancer called corruption that has brought many economies down to their knees, with SA also in line.It should be simple to implement as it can be benchmarked with the current Sex offenders register which details and shames sexual offenders.

Corruption is a dangerous economic disease which needs need to stopped before it's too late. I believe the register will assist the chapter 9 entities a great deal in their strides to reduces corruption. It will also act as reference point to consider prior to any appointments into public office or job.

It will also advise on repeated offenders.Perhaps you would ask why Corruption register? Well the answer is simple, the damaging effects of corruption are very difficult to reverse and takes many years to reverse which goes into many generations left to suffer as a result. Some States can be regarded as Failed States due to the long and irreversible damages their have incurred due to corruption being left un-tackled for far too long in those failed countries.

I believe corruption should be made a national issue by many States particularly those who still have opportunity to do something to stop it.Just like many other issues of national importance, I believe the best way to deal with is to put up a petition for each issue to be taken seriously and not swept under the carpet like many which where shelved unjustifiably. One such issue is shortage of electricity which came out years ago but was ignored, only to come back to bite the country very hard years later.

If we truly love and care about this countries economy, let's do make Corruption a national issue by means of a petition or else it will come to bite our children very hard in years to come. I pity the many children who are already suffering dearly in many damaged neighboring States who did nothing in their past years, and shelved their national issues of importance. There's no substitute for the Economy of a country.

If it fails, everything else follows to fall apart BUT if the economy is sound and on its feet, other problems can be also be fixed.
If you care and love this beautiful land, Do the Right Thing Now, and let's all do the petition NOW for the attention if the power that be!!!!! God Bless South Africa.
