Deputy Minister of Higher Education pays tribute

Tanzania- Morogoro, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Mdudzi Manana visited Tanzania and urged South African and Tanzanian youth to maintain the solidarity as of previous leaders. He was the keynote speaker for The Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College (SOMAFCO), Young African Leaders tour that takes place annually. It is awarded to young disadvantaged intellectuals who seek to help develop Africa.

The Tanzanian and South African Heritage play a major role in South Africa’s liberation struggle. Late Tanzanian president, Julius Nyerere handed land over to previous ANC Freedom Fighters. The Freedom Fighters used the land to set up camps during the apartheid regime.  The Minister visited various heritage sites while they are still being used today. He also urged that youth remember the struggle and the 20 years of democracy but move forward to create a better Africa for all.
