War, Revenge & The EFF

I am writing this article to express my views on certain political stances of late that I feel are terribly misguided.

I don’t believe it is any surprise to anyone in this country, what exactly the message of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is. Or at least what their core message is.

They seek revenge on the white man and are going to take the land back that the white man has taken from them even if they have to do it by force.

Like I said, anyone in this country, by now, is well aware of the mission statement of the EFF.

I want to take this opportunity to give my views on this and to also take us all on a rather lengthy, but nonetheless factual trip down History lane.

Do I feel that it was cruel, unnecessary and immoral for the white Dutch settlers of ancient day to come here and take land away from the indigenous tribal people who lived on it?

Yes absolutely!

I revere ancient tribal people. Their teachings, way of life and healing methods were far more superior and more effective than anything we have accomplished in modern times.

I am not just referring to ancient African Tribes, but to the Ancient Tribes of the Indians, Aborigines, Incas, Mayans, Egyptians, Sumerians, Tibetans and so on.

These beautiful people knew more about the universal truths than 90% of the misguided world population of today.  The wisdom and knowledge of the ages that these people knew and guarded for thousands of years is mostly incomprehensible to modern day science and understanding.

Their knowledge and calculations of Astronomy and Astrology was far more advanced than anything we see or read today.

Their pure unconditional love for Mother Earth and all the life that dwells upon her is dam near impossible for most of us to comprehend, let alone exercise.

They healed their fellow tribesmen with the natural plant and herb remedies that Mother Nature provided and were healthier back then than any of us are today. They were never plagued with diseases such as cancer....none of these ancient tribes’ illustrations and manuscripts record any information on such diseases or plagues as what we see today.

The African Tribes of ancient day respected fauna and flora. They sustained themselves with what Mother Nature provided but never took more than what was immediately needed, they did not exploit their surroundings and neither did they feel the need to take from one another, in fact there was an inherent need to contribute and distribute.

From these tribes came the old saying “it takes a village to raise a child”. The women were the nurturers, not only to their own children but to everyone single other person in the village. The men were the providers and protectors and also took on the role of teaching the younger boys the skills and lessons they needed to provide for and protect the village when they got older. Everyone had a skill and a contribution to make, and everyone cared for the wellbeing of one-another.

They respected their elders, and guided the youth. They cherished their rituals and held sacred the legacy of those who passed on.

They didn’t just preach, but lived the essence of Ubuntu, a universal bond of sharing and compassion that connects all humanity. They knew this, they understood this, they lived this.

What we have left of these great people unfortunately today is merely what we read, and some artifacts gathering dust in the local museums.

People of this calibre do not exist anymore today. Black, white, pink, green, blue...they are nowhere to be seen. They are gone.

When I hear misguided people today using guilt tactics on their voters of “your ancestors, your ancestor”....I always wish that these brainwashed people really could hear their ancestors...

Their ancestors did not teach anything about hate, anger and revenge....they taught of love, togetherness and forgiveness.

Mandela was the last of the great spirits. Now we have none.

Do I feel a great pain in my heart even as I sit hear typing this? Yes, in fact tears are rolling down my face thinking that beautiful people like that once walked this very Earth that we have now polluted with hate and violence.

It breaks my heart that there are people out there today who profess to be fighting in the name of their ancestors, when they don’t even know what their ancestors were really about. Young people walking around fighting for the land of their ancestors and for their ‘culture” but whom do not even respect or value their elders, they carry anger, violence and revenge in their hearts, they take, demand and live as separate from the rest of their society and have no respect for Mother Nature or any other human being but themselves. Their ancestors did not preach of rape, murder, theft, corruption and violence....those are modern day inventions by misguided reprobates.

These evil intentions and acts are neither the message nor the essence of what their ancestors taught or how their ancestors lived.

I feel much sorrow and pity for all these shallow misguided souls wondering around in self-inflicted emotional torment. It really is sad.

I am angry too that power hungry  tyrants came and broke down these perfectly well functioning communities of love and togetherness , to replace them with their concrete pillars of worship to their God called ‘oil’, to their God called ‘profit’, to their God called ‘power’.

Power! Power is the route of all evil. It takes just one person to be obsessed with power to start an uprising of violence and destruction. That is how tribal warfare began, because amongst all the people who practiced Ubuntu, you got one who decided he wants to be better than the rest, higher than the rest, have more than the rest....and so he infests the minds of those around him and before you know it there is war and violence.

Unfortunately the Dutch settlers who landed here were already plagued with the ‘power-hungry disease’, and that is where the tyranny and exploitation was introduced by foreigners.

This is not the first time that this has happened, that power hungry tyrants have caused war and taken land from their opposition. This has been the prerogative of human beings since the beginning of time, for thousands upon thousands of years.

I want to take this opportunity to provide a factual recollection of what planet Earth has experienced with regards to power, war (which both go hand in hand) and land grabbing:

The period of 1104 - 1920 saw 497 wars being fought in Europe alone. Wars involving barbaric acts some of which I cannot retype here due to the sensitivity of some readers. But basically the wars resulted in the pillaging of villages, raping, execution and claiming of land. These acts were committed by English, French, Germans, Saxons, Romans, Scotts, Celts, Greeks, Turks, Persians, Arabs etc etc etc  etc. Basically, if everyone had to take revenge today, there would be no-one left in Europe.

Just the period of 1500 - 1700 Russia saw itself involved in 19 massive wars some of which were won and some of which were lost. That is an average of one war per decade. Pillaging, rape, execution and land claim were the order of the day.

This next sad story is close to my heart.

The Tibetans are calm and placid people who live by the principles of oneness just as the ancient African people lived by the principles of Ubuntu. The Tibetan Monks keep to themselves and spend the majority of their time meditating and praying to their God.  The Chinese have always been power hungry brutes and have been waging war on Tibet for many years.

However, let me begin with the British invasion of Tibet in the early 1800’s. The first Europeans to land in Tibet were the Portuguese in 1624 and the Tibetans, being peaceful, welcomed them and even allowed them to build their church. Of course the Europeans eventually took advantage and the Dalai Lama had no choice but to banish all Europeans from Tibet. Instead of respecting the Dalai Lama’s decision about his land and people, the British, Scotts and Indians began to see and want trade opportunities in that area and began secretly mapping Tibet. Later in the early 1800’s British-India (Britain owned the land of India at the time) decided that they had an interest in Tibet and then Indians just entered the country and started trading. Treaties regarding Tibet were signed between Britain and China (funny how these negotiations didn’t even involve the leaders of Tibet), eventually Britain, Russia and China were fighting over land rights to Tibet. British troops eventually invaded Tibet which caused the Dalai Lama to flee.

Just recently in 1930, the Chinese invaded Tibet and overwhelmed their armies due to the attack being a complete surprise and for no reason whatsoever other than the Chinese wanting to control and own the land. The Chinese decided to attack the Tibetans where it hurt most, their religion. Thousand year old monasteries and books were destroyed and monks were forced to renounce their god and take wives. The Dalai Lama had to flee as the Chinese soldiers took control of his palace in 1969. The ‘Chinafication’ of Tibet was now complete.

Due to our governments meaningless loyalty to China is the reason why the Dalai Lama is continuously refused a Visa to South Africa. Discriminate much?

I can literally type non-stop for the next 18 months about all the wars in the world that involved barbaric activity and land grabbing and resulting from the need for power and control, but I am now going to go to African history. I am going to exclude the wars and land grabbing that also happened in Egypt, Sudan, Lybia, Tunisai, Algeria, Morocco, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Madagascar, Comoros and Mauritius.

There were about 800 identifiable African Tribes and as the need for power and control crept in, many wars were fought over land and dominance. Radical extermination of rival tribes took place and involved the pillaging of villages, raping, execution and land grabbing. This happened long before European settlers landed in Africa. Every tribe fought against every other tribe either for protection of their land, or for a leader who wanted to control the land.

Tribal wars and civil wars swept across Africa claiming billions of lives altogether. One of the biggest tribal wars was the Nigerian Civil War which claimed the lives of 3 million people.

Let us not forget the Rwandan Genocide which was a mass slaughter of the Tutsi tribe by the Hutu tribe. One million Rwandans were killed, and barbarically at that. This mass slaughter was arranged by the political elite of the country known as the Akazu who were obsessed with power. This type of warped addiction to power and hatred for another culture or race was evident in Adolf Hitler who too became manically obsessed with power and decided Jewish people were inferior and needed to be wiped out. In both these cases, land and possessions belonging to the wiped out ethnic groups were claimed by the perpetrators of the genocide. This is a common denominator in history, where a leader with warped power-hungry intentions wants to wage war he promises his soldiers the land of those they defeat, this has became a largely effective incentive for waging barbaric and unnecessary war which never, not even once anywhere on the historic timeline, has had any positive outcomes.

Then the Europeans invaded Africa. In South Africa alone, war upon war commenced for the occupation of land. Even the British threw the Afrikaners into concentration camps which were just as barbaric as those found in Germany during the holocaust. Women were raped, people were left to starve to death and sometimes when they were given food it had crushed up glass in it so they would slowly die from internal bleeding. Read up on it. If you think the Afrikaners didn’t suffer, think again.

One of the most effective ways that power-hungry leaders get their people to go to war, is to convince them that there is another tribe or group of people who are a threat and who could take away something that belongs to them and therefore they need to go to war and take from the people who are the threat, and most of the time the people they wage war on have no such intentions whatsoever and don’t even understand what’s going on and why.

This is the very reason the ANC stay in power: Although the struggle for freedom has ended, and the people who caused the Apartheid era are no longer in circulation. Everyone is free and have equal opportunities, yet the ANC still preach to their people about the struggle and the horrors of the struggle at every opportunity they have and convince the people that freedom is only represented by the ANC and every other political party wants to take their freedom away and bring back Apartheid.... which is absolutely ludicrous though, but it works. This strategy has been used by power-hungry leaders, and even the Catholic Church for thousands upon thousands of years to cause fear which lends to dictatorship and repression, and of course to cause war and to claim land.

Did you know that back in the 1500’s there was a religion called Paganism in which women we revered above men as being the nurturers and care-givers of the planet and whom deserved consideration and respect. The Catholic Church did not like this as they looked down on women, in fact the Catholic Church (which ruled the known world back then) only decided in 1545 that women had souls....and that was only by a majority vote of 3!

Anyway, so the Catholic Church convinced everyone that these women were witches and that they could cause great danger to society and could cast spells and so on. Of course people fell for the story and so these women were found and burnt alive at the stake. In fact, the Church was so adamant to get rid of this rival religion and to maintain power that they promised that if you suspected a woman was a witch and turned her in, with no need to proof or even a trial, you would inherit her family’s land after she was executed. What an incentive!

So here we are today.

Here we sit in the land called South Africa... beautiful, bountiful terrain which provides sustenance and potential for growth. A land that has, in my opinion, seen enough war and barbarism and deserves love and respect from each and every South African.

Unfortunately however, we also sit with men who’s hearts are filled with hatred and revenge. Men who’s leaders are corrupted and diseased with the obsession for power and control. The very disease which has plagued humanity since the beginning of time, the same disease that has caused the death of men, women and children for thousands upon thousands of years, the same disease that has caused nothing but brutality, demise, detestation and demolition since the beginning of time.

We have people here who want to carry on the cycle of hate and destruction. Does it make sense to contest war and land grabbing with more war and land grabbing? The cycle will just carry on and on and on, we have seen this throughout history.

The Dutch settlers claiming land in our country, is a mere tiny speckle of sand in the vast desert dunes of endless land grabbing activity that has taken place since man walked this planet.

If everyone in the world right now had to take revenge on some other group or culture that has caused conflict with them and taken their land in the past there would be no-one left on this planet. Whish sometimes I don’t think would be such a bad thing seeing as though we’re ruining the planet anyway.

But if we want anything good to come out of anything, we need to stop this cycle now. War and hatred is not healthy and it is not going to solve one single thing.

Put down your spears and your guns, I beg of you! What are you fighting for? What are you blaming for?

We could all easily find someone to fight and blame for anything in our lives if we wanted to, but what is that going to achieve?

Revenge is a sickness, it’s an illness that infects the minds of the weak. Did Mandela seek revenge? No, absolutely not, his mind was not sick, his body may have let him down, but his mind was as healthy as ever! He understood that war, revenge and anger gets humanity no-where. The ANC still preaches that they uphold his legacy, yet Jacob Zuma will tell his millions of followers at ANC gatherings that Jan Van Riebeeck took their land and they should take their land back, inciting revenge wherever he goes. Is this upholding Mandela’s legacy? No, not at all! That was not Mandela’s legacy, that was not Mandela’s message! These men with forked tongues are using Madiba’s name in vein. If they really could hear their ancestors, they would be guided down a very different path.

Julius Malema is the King of Revenge. His entire modus operandi from day one was that of anger and revenge, as if that will solve anything. As if anything good ever came from war and genocide.

The Jews could take revenge on the Germans, the Tibetans could take revenge on the Chinese, the Indians could take revenge on the British, the Germans could take revenge on Britain Italy and France, Northern China could take revenge on Southern China and vice versa, the American Indians could take revenge on the Americans and Canadians, America could take revenge on Germany and Japan, Russia could take revenge on France, Afrikaners could take revenge on the British, the Xhosa’s could take revenge on the Zulu’s and vice versa, the Sotho’s could take revenge on the Zulu’s and vice versa, the Tshwana’s could take revenge on the Sotho’s and vice versa.....and I could carry on for an unbearably long time.

So where is this going to get us exactly?

Malema wants his people to go and forcefully take land, which will inevitably land up in war. Referring to world history we can see that the results of war are: unemployment, the collapse of the economy, hunger, deprivation and loss of resources. What is going to happen when inexperienced youth driven by intense anger and hatred take over a farm by force? Then what? They do not have the skills or knowledge on how to continue running that land as an economical business. These angry vessels of destruction do not know how to cultivate the land in order to produce the food needed to feed the people of South Africa. Look what happened to Zimbabwe. Everyone is getting out, in fact they are flocking to South Africa to find jobs that our own people cannot find. They have resorted catching and eating rats, if they’re lucky, to have something to eat as the food supply has been obliterated and so has the water supply. What if this happens to South Africa? Where will you go? Where will the angry vessels go then? There is nowhere else to go in Africa! There is nowhere else on this continent that can offer 40 million people jobs and a sustainable living. Every other African country is ruined that’s why they’re all coming to SA to find jobs, at the very least some other African countries  are just barely coping with their own demands. Where is everyone going to go once SA is ruined? If the EFF members don’t care for themselves, at least think of your children and their future. What will happen to them, and to your grandchildren and their children? At this rate, there is no future!

And of course there is the undying argument of racism and discrimination. Racism and discrimination has also been a prerogative of power-hungry bigots since the beginning of time. Yes the early settlers in South Africa were racist and it was evil and uncalled for. But to turn around now and say that you must take revenge on white people who had nothing to do with Apartheid but simply because their skin colour is white, is exactly the same thing! That is the very definition of racism: discriminating and/or causing harm to someone because of the colour of their skin...that is racism. To take revenge now on the whites simply because they’re white is to make yourselves exactly the same as the Dutch, there is no difference, you’re the same....power-hungry and racist. Your anger should not be directed at whites, but rather at power-hungry tyrants who incite war. War and power are the enemy and have been since the beginning of time. If your leader is overcome with the need for power and is promoting violence of any kind and discrimination of any kind then you really need to ask yourselves right now: ‘who is the real enemy’?

Do we really need leaders in this country who are promoting racism on any level? If you hesitated to answer that then unfortunately I have to say you have obviously not been affected by racism or discrimination because if you had been you would never NEVER promote it.

Why are there so many people with double standards in our country (on our continent for that matter)? So many misguided hypocritical people!

Homosexuals have been fighting for their rights for decades. Most of the world today still denies them their basic rights and ironically still by people who themselves fought against racism. Look at some of the barbaric laws in African countries regarding homosexuals. How on Earth can a black person who themselves fought against discrimination and racism turn around and condone homophobia and even arrest and kill people on the basis of their sexuality? That is exactly the same principle as arresting and killing someone on the basis of their skin colour.

Some people in this world have honestly lost the plot. If you condone one type of discrimination, then you condone them all, they are all evil and unnecessary no matter what you name them! If we honestly want discrimination to end then all of us, ALL of us need to immediately end racism and discrimination against blacks, whites, Indians, Chinese, Tibetans, Dutch, British etc etc.

We need to end homophobia especially on the continent we live on, we need to stop this hatred for one another and start to love our brothers and sisters regardless of our race, creed, culture, sexuality or anything else that makes us unique. At the end of the day, we all came from the same place and we’re all going back to the same place.

So my message here is totally contradictory to that of the EFF.

The EFF’s manifesto is:

  1. Hate

  2. Fight

  3. Be angry

  4. Take revenge

I am starting a new manifesto here today for the true people of this country who want to affect positive change. The people of this country who want their children to inherit the beautiful land of growth and opportunity, of love and compassion, of oneness, of Ubuntu.

My manifesto is simple:

  1. Love your fellow South African
