Four people have been killed and twenty-seven sustained serious injuries during shocking bus accident on Bhejane Road in KwaMashu near Bridge City Mall.
It is still unclear on what might have caused the Durban Transport bus to roll down the embankment this morning. The bus was carrying at least 35 passenger to work crashed alongside road injuring 27 people and living 4 death at the scene.
KwaZulu-Natal emergency medical service spokesperson Robert McKenzie says paramedic who were first on scene called for more help and begun transporting injured to various hospital in and around Durban.
"The Department of Health's air ambulance is going to be airlifting one patient to hospital. Paramedics using ambulances and patient transport buses are transporting patients to King Edward, Addington and Mahatmah Ghandi hospitals for continued care," he said.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and earlier occasions will remain the subject of a police investigation.
