God’s kingdom – The way up is down

The Parable of the Sower is a parable found in the Bible. In this story, a sower sowed seed on the path, on rocky ground and among thorns, and the seed was lost; but when the seed fell on good earth it grew, yielding thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.

Mark 4:20  And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

This good ground is not ground that had more but it was ground that had less

It had less hard packed ground.

Less stones and rocks that kept it from getting rooted.

Less cares of this life.

Less thorns and weeds and all of the lusts of these other things

To be really fruitful in the Kingdom of God is not based on your great talents but on your heart. God is not looking for silver vessels but surrendered vessels

But if your surrendered vessel happens to be silver too, then awesome.

God will take the nothings of this world. He will take people who are nobodies.

That is what it says here…

1 Corinthians 1:26-28  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

And the reason He did it so that no flesh would glory in His Presence

God delights in using “nobodies” because when God uses them then people think, “That has to be God. It is not that person”.

If you feel like you are less like, “I do not have everything that everyone else has”. Then you are the very person that God is looking for

If God had to put out a “Help Wanted” sign

If you are weak.

If you are base.

If you are despised.

If you are nothing and the world thinks nothing of you, then apply within.

And even if you have it all together and you are willing to lay it down and you say, “God it is not me, it is you”

Then you too can apply within

This is how powerful Gods Word is because it is not about you. It is God’s Word and it is just that we are the receptacle for the Word of God

The Word of God can only produce fruit if it is the heart

You can lay the Bible on your head and rub all the hair off and it is never going to change your life.

You can put it under your nightstand, under your arm but it is not going to do any good unless it gets off the page and in your heart

This is when it comes alive

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
