Hung up and called an ambulance myself

I saw the article about the 10111 number and wanted to share my experience.

In August 2013 I was walking to Tuks campus for class, late afternoon. At a intersection in Murray St, two cars were in a accident and I was about 50m away. 

I called the 10111 number to request aid but no one knew who I needed to speak to to report the incident or have medical services dispatched.

I hung up after about the third time they transferred my call and call an ambulance myself.
