Marloth Park is currently having some it's prized animals removed which include Giraffe, Kudu, Impala and Zebra. The animals will be moved to the nearby Lionspruit Nature Reserve which forms part of the greater Marloth Park conservancy where some of the animals will be hunted to cover cost for the game capture and relocation expenses.
Animals that were previously feeding out of the hands of visitors of Marloth park will sone make their way as furniture and decor in the houses of people that "love" Africa and Africa themed decorations.
Each year animals need to be removed from Marloth Park because there are not enough natural predators. Instead of relocating the animals to the adjacent Kruger National Park the animals are often culled. This animals are just about to give birth in Marloth Park. Year after year this problem is repeated without a permanent solution being found.
Some people are taking to Social Media where the problem is being addressed while others like myself have created websites to highlight the plight of the story. www.lionspruit.co.za .
