I spit on Oscar's 5 year sentence

I don't know much about law, or about the justice system. But I know the pain of losing someone, especially to death. I can only begin to imagine the amount of pain that the death of Reeva must bring to those concerned. She was murdered, so we can't even make the family feel better and say the common things that are said when one has passed on like; "it was her time,"  "God needed his angel back"etc. The truth of the matter is that she was MURDERED, and nothing can make that OKAY.  5 years? for those who don't know, that means 2.5 years. It does not matter if the murder was pre-mediated or not, but a woman has lost her life, and the man who has done it has received a nice little hiding and 2 year leave to reconstruct his life. While his will go on, Reeva's and her family's it at a stand still.  No punishment can ever steel the pain of murder, but punishment needs to be sought none the less. Oscar is a murderer, and for that reason, i do not see why he is alive. Judge Masipa alludes to the aspect of mercy - Mercy is letting him retain his life. A 5 year jail sentence is patting him on the back and telling others like him, that YOU TOO CAN KILL AND RETAIN YOUR FREEDOM. what is a 2 year pause when you have a whole lifetime. 
THE JUSTICE SYSTEM HAS ONCE AGAIN FAILED US.
