Is atheism the superior position?
Though I disagree with theistic beliefs, I believe people have the right to choose whatever belief they wish to, but is it not true in this enlightened age that theism has run its course and will soon die out? When one looks at theistic extremists killing and forcibly imposing their beliefs on others is it not time to ask “is atheism the superior position”?
If atheism is truly superior to theism, then we should be able to demonstrate that through rational discussion. No need for ad hominem generalisations from either side. However is it not a proven fact that we are not dealing with rational minds when it comes to the very religious who walk by faith not by sight? For if we were truly dealing with rational minds then there would be nothing to discuss. No one who has the full faculties of a rational mind at their disposal can be a devout bible believing, relationship with God Christian. Period!
So is it true that Christians and by inference other theistic believers from other religions are worshipping a dead God? When will they come to the understanding that those of us who deny their Christ are superior? We are more advanced. Atheism is natural, it is the next step in evolution, when we no longer require a "God" to rule our minds, but we are able to think freely and govern ourselves.
A person, who admits that they need Christ, admits first that they are by nature a lesser form of intelligence as they have to turn off their thinking as an adult and think like a child. They also admit that they need constant supervision and control by a Christian Church. This causes a huge drain on our resources. By spreading their delusions they infect the weak and gullible with their disease.
There is no God but Man. God was created by Man. We are “Gods” at least those of us who have evolved to that realisation. Christians are on the way out, in fifty years, the name of Jesus Christ will be gone and forgotten. A new age, a golden age is on the rise. It is up to us, those who have reached the higher level of evolution to order our selves and so it is good that we are discussing the end of faith.
Listening to the whining of the deluded one who wrote “The atheist’s failure” one can see Christians are desperate. It is only their swan song, their death throes, their wailing for they know that they are dying and they soon will be dead. Atheists are a Christian’s nemesis and all our motivation is when interacting with the faithful is to spread awareness of critical and empirical thinking and not because we are devil worshippers or haters of God.
We are not dealing with rational minds. We are dealing with people who are mentally sick, with their mind infested, with a religious virus and who need to be treated as such. They have been indoctrinated and need to be reprogrammed. There are ways to identify a sick person. It is by their symptoms.
Any one who lives their life, reading and believing the Bible, praying to the ceiling, talking to God and expecting an answer, living in the “spirit” has to be insane. Tell me I am wrong.
People of faith are unable to think critically or empirically. Marx said that religion was the opium of the people. He was correct. That is why Christianity and other religions are all over the illiterate world. Christians are not only ill but they are addicted to their illness just like drug addicts are addicted. Christians are addicted to the fell good drug dopamine that kicks in when they worship or pray or read the bible.
Christians are so morally weak that the need the fear of Gods damnation to toe the line. It is extremely annoying that many Christians argue that 'if there is no God, there is no absolute standard of right and wrong, and therefore no ethics' or that 'atheists are by nature unethical'. This is usually followed up by a total misunderstanding of either evolution or assuming a purely mechanistic belief.
Ethics are based upon our evolved needs and desires as social animals, balanced against the needs of society. Meaning is also an evolved entity. Jesus had some good things to say, mostly plagiarised from previous religions, like the “golden rule – love one another”. If the religious followed that rule and loved one another and others instead of splitting up into thousands of elitist factions, atheists would be more tolerant of their pontificating tripe.
The misery of man is derived from his lot in life and the Christian religion preys on this fact offering a better life in the hereafter. Christians might say what hope does atheism offer? Atheism offers nothing - so what. All Christianity offers is false hope, in a false God with a false faith.
Atheists, in almost all cases, become atheists because they find the claims of theism unfounded and implausible. Not because they want to pursue worldly desires. After all, one does not need to become an atheist to pursue worldly desires (sin). Christians do it all the time.....and often with little sign that it much troubles them. So clearly one need not de-convert and give up the idea of an afterlife to pursue sin.
The answer is quite simple and essentially the same for atheists as for Christians our empathy for others and concern for their well-being is what will make a better society and not rigidly sticking to a book written by prescience, desert goat herders, and worshipping their fearsome tribal God.
