Is firearm ownership in decline?

P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; }TT.cjk { font-family: "Droid Sans Fallback",monospace; }What is the true condition of civilian firearm ownership around the world, is it flourishing or in serious trouble?

It takes only a few minutes of research to see that every country in the world is continuously increasing and strengthening restrictive private ownership firearm laws.  Unreasonable unwarranted laws that discourage in a multiplicity of directions in order to decrease popularity and increase the difficulty of ownership for any reason.  Sports, self-defence of home or carry, collection, display, recreation or any reasonable use are being hampered and abolished by legislation. Lives lost and serious injury being a terrible consequence of rendering yourself unprotected from the criminal element.

Yet we have throughout the world many millions who belong to firearm organisations who's very life blood and existence depends on the health of increasing continuing ownership and use.  What organisation in anyone's imagination could or would work towards its own demise?  Such ideas are surely unimaginable for people who's lives depend on the acceptance and desire of the right to self-defence.  Who understandably and justifiably claim and promote that firearms are the very best means anyone has of securing their own personal safety.  Have these organisations all reached the conclusion that government or the police can provide all the safety and security citizens will ever need?

It seems incomprehensible that any organisation that bases its total campaign on a lie and therefore relies entirely on stirring up peoples' emotions following tragic (but rare) events, gruesomely riding the emotional wave like surfers milking a swell for everything it has.  Not one word uttered by these anti-firearm defence terrorists has any logical sense and cannot be substantiated by serious research.  Unfortunately the nature of most people is to disregard facts and rather be persuaded by emotionally laden claims instead.

Even more unfortunate critical thinkers with the ability to determine fact from fiction, who check and validate information being one of the scarcest we have on this earth allows such organisations the opportunity to indoctrinate the public with the very same techniques that has witnessed millions of 'heretics' burnt alive at the stake.  Millions of Jews gassed and in total 262 million murdered by their own governments.  Such organisations flourish unrecognised for what they truly are.

What then is wrong with the firearms industry and roll-players - individuals and organisations - who sit idly by and watch with interest to see what is happening.  Who are quite content to accept and agree with every stage of restriction applied to firearm ownership?  Are there insufficient who see the need to object to make any difference?  Do any of the interested parties even try to increase the dwindling number of firearm owners by removing the impediments to ownership rather than mounting sales and membership campaigns to a diminishing elitist market.  Elitists who think they are better than citizens who are willing to jump through all the hoops and live in hope government will leave them alone because they are special?

Surely if the results of gun control are well documented and known, nobody can be excused for doing nothing while gun control continues to make progress virtually unopposed.  Where is the opposition?  Where are the people who will stand up for their own safety and that of their loved ones and ensure the future is safe for ourselves and our children? Who are the people with the most to lose claiming to be the knowledgeable leaders, and what are they doing to ensure the public's  Right to safety, now and in the foreseeable future?
