Is the law of attraction for Christians?

Me thinks not. I don’t believe at all in the law of attraction, the only benefit it has I see, is that it keeps one’s mind focused at least, so if you want wealth, you’ll make choices that will help you get wealthy. Because you think wealth, you are most likely going to pen down that business plan, apply for that job, speak to that influential person etc. but as far as vibrations are concerned, this has no influence whatsoever.

On this Scripture: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what will you wear.  Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds in the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” (Matthew 6:25-26)… I literally don’t have to be thinking wealth, health and whatever because God here says he’ll provide for me because he knows my needs even before I ask for them to be fulfilled. But I will do the next right thing for me to do, so I’ll go to work and give my all, I’ll use the opportunities when I spot them, respect my superiors, write my reports, attend meetings, be punctual. I'll also exercise, make healthy eating choices, drink water, not smoke, promptly take medication when sick etc.

If something bad happens to me, I know it has nothing to do with how I’m “vibrating” and this way I don’t have to wonder if my misfortune is my fault due to how I chose to vibrate. I have chosen to think about what is noble as the Bible commands in Philippians 4:8 and that for me is salvation, peace, love, humility, righteousness, respect, dedication, truthfulness, submission, caring, giving and sharing what Christ has done in my life.

Whether I become wealthy or not, makes no difference to me, I know whatever happens to me is God’s will. I choose not to focus on wealth and this way I know for sure that I seek God for who he is and not what he can do for me.
