Match fixing, or not

In the midst of all the allegations flying round that Haroon Lorgat & Fikile Mbalula forced the Proteas’ management team to select a player of colour to “balance out “ the team…..one thought comes to mind….this is very very close indeed to match fixing.

These two individuals effected the possible outcome of a ICC sanctioned cricket match by using political pressure to ensure a national cricket team consisted out of a certain make up of players….match fixing.

Is this not the ideal opportunity for ICC CEO Dave Richardson to investigate these accusations?  At worst if Haroon Lorgat & Fikile Mbalula are found not guilty as far as the match fixing is concerned, then CSA could be fined for using political influence to manipulate the team selection.

Food for thought.
