Dated from long ago, the Middle East crisis needs to come to an end if we all stand unconditionally together as one man against the abuse of Israel on Palestinian territory. It’s depressed to see the number of killing increasing daily, while the Security Council keeps on passing resolutions that are not respected by any party involved in the conflict, as well as those backing the oppression in violation of international framework on human right.
One can ask why this crisis seems to be unresolvable while appropriates institutions and resources are put in place to deal with such issues? We cannot just keep on condemning without taking adequate actions to stop the killing of innocents Palestinians by Israel. From 1967 to 1989 the UN Security Council adopted 131 resolutions directly addressing the say conflict. However, Israel had been condemned in 45 resolutions by the United Nations Human rights council and it was deplores the deportation of Palestinians by Israel and called out it to ensure their safe and immediate return.
The question that one can ask is why do we have an issue which seems to be indeterminable while the UN exists for almost seven decades? How many resolution need to be voted in condemnation of Israel so that serious actions can be taken? Why Innocents Palestinians who have nothing to do with politics have to die in inhuman condition? Together let us stand with Palestinians people.
The resolution of the middle-east conflict can be successful only if all parties can engage in sincere dialogue which will clarify the rights and responsibilities of all. If Israel is not forced to vacate Palestinian territory, it will be difficult to see Palestinian people returning safely to the land of their ancestral. Why USA, UN and EU failed to impose sanctions on Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu as they did with Robert Mugabe for nationalising strategic sectors of Zimbabwean economy?
Why the only solution to this conflict seems to be the so-called Egyptian Ceasefire initiative drafted by Tony Blair, discussed with Israel and then suggested to Egypt, who then endorsed and introduce it as its one? One can understand that Tony Blair has persuaded Egypt that, putting forward this proposal would contribute to the reinstatement of Egypt as an influential regional player. Why Hamas seems to be pushed to agree with the proposal drafted by the former British premier minister, then discussed with Israel only?
Many African countries by lack of democracy and strong foreign policies, have difficult to condemn Israel, as many leaders proceeded in same way against their own people to get to power. We can add our voices to the South African government who condemned Israel to oust the ambassador of Israel to South Africa and recall the South African ambassador to Israel, so that many countries throughout the world can follow this good example, as the Brazilians have call their ambassador to Israel for consultation. We need to stick to our solidarity no matter the continent in which we are living, because Palestinian people do not deserve what is occurring in their land now. Our voices together can bring change.
